Guido Baechler

Guido Baechler has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades in the biotechnology and medical diagnostics industries. Guido currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Mainz BioMed, a position they assumed in July 2021. Prior to this, Baechler was a Board Member of Chip Diagnostics, where they played a key role in the development of technologies and digital diagnostics for early cancer screening. Guido joined Chip Diagnostics in March 2020.

In 2019, Baechler founded Berkeley Life Science Advisors, a consulting firm that provides strategic counsel to life science companies in the diagnostic and medical technology sectors. Guido specializes in global growth strategies and the integration of transformative medical technologies.

Baechler's career began in 1989 as a Senior Engineer at Roche Diagnostics Europe, specifically within Roche Diagnostics Switzerland. Guido contributed to the field of medical diagnostics before leaving in July 1994.

Guido Baechler completed their Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at the University of Applied Sciences in Windisch, Switzerland from 1986 to 1989. In 2007, they pursued Executive Study at the Haas School of Business, University of California, Berkeley. Additionally, they took courses related to organizational leadership at the London Business School in 2004. Guido also participated in MBA-level courses in organization and leadership, marketing, and leadership and management at the City University of Seattle in 1994.
