Lisa Johnson Kelly joined the Mairs & Power team as a Client Advisor in 2021. In this role she actively interacts with clients discussing investment strategy and performance, while also providing counsel in other financial planning matters.
Lisa began her career in financial services with Bernstein Private Wealth Management in the firm’s Chicago office in 2006. While in Chicago, Lisa supported several advisors and their clients in the day-to-day management of client accounts along with assisting with wealth planning needs. In 2012, Lisa relocated to Bernstein’s Minneapolis office where she was promoted to a Client Advisor. In that position, she worked closely with her clients and their professional advisors on a wide range of investment matters including tax and estate planning, retirement planning, concentrated stock positions, the sale of privately held businesses, and charitable gift & philanthropic related planning for high-net worth individuals and institutions.
Lisa holds a Bachelor of Arts in industrial/organizational psychology with a minor in marketing from DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois. She is a Certified Financial Planner™ professional, a designation she has held since 2012. Lisa was also named a “40 Under 40” honoree in 2019 by the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal.
A native of St. Paul, Lisa is passionate about investing in the Twin Cities and the upper midwest region. She has served previously on the advisory board of the Fourth Generation Fund at the Minneapolis Foundation, the Guthrie Theater’s Corporate Council, and the board for Pathways in Minneapolis. She is also a current member of the Guthrie Theater's Board of Directors.
