Monica Jurken

Monica Jurken is a board member of the Humane Animal Welfare Society (HAWS) of Waukesha. Monica has been with the organization since May 2016 and is currently the Vice President.

Prior to their work with HAWS, Monica was an account executive with the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. Monica also interned with the office of Senator Mary Lazich. In their current role as Vice President, Monica is responsible for promoting the humane care and treatment of animals, both in Wisconsin and beyond.

Monica Jurken attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communication-Strategic Communication. Monica also holds a J.B.A from the same school. Prior to their collegiate career, they attended Barrington High School.
