Jerome Akel

Jerome Akel possesses extensive experience in the retail sector, currently serving as Country Manager for Georgia and Armenia at Majid Al Futtaim since February 2005, where significant accomplishments include the integration of 13 hypermarkets and a 40,000 m² shopping mall, alongside leading an omnichannel retail transformation. Previous roles include Vice-President of Marketing & Sourcing and General Manager of Supermarkets, overseeing business development and operations, including a successful launch of the supermarket business unit. Jerome also held positions focused on development and merchandising, contributing to the establishment of Carrefour in Egypt. Prior experience includes a role as District Manager for Aldi Markt France and co-founding an independent music label, B pourquoi B ?. Jerome holds a Master in Management and a Master in Legal Engineering from EDHEC Business School.
