Cesar A. Sandoval

Cesar A. Sandoval, MBA, CPA, currently serves as the Regional Financial Controller for Latin America at Major Drilling since June 2025. Previously, Cesar held the position of Corporate Manager of Internal Audit at Sierra Metals Inc. from May 2023 to May 2025, where strategic direction for the Internal Audit department was led across Peru, Mexico, and Canada, along with the implementation of an enterprise risk management process. Prior experience includes serving as Financial Controller at Minera Las Bambas, where end-to-end financial management and decision support were provided, and as Senior Manager of Internal Audit at Barrick Gold Corporation, achieving significant reductions in audit execution and reporting times. Earlier roles at Newmont Corporation and Ernst & Young involved operations accounting analysis and financial statement preparation, respectively. Cesar began the career as a researcher at UMass Boston and has extensive experience in billing supervision and auditing, including significant contributions at Arthur Andersen & Co. Cesar holds an MBA in Finance from UMass Boston and a BS in Accounting from Universidad de Lima.
