Jody Cairns

Jody Cairns has a strong background in information technology, project management, and software development. They began their career at Fisheries and Oceans Canada, where they worked as a Software Developer and Consultant, supporting and developing programs for national database applications. They also designed and developed custom software solutions for GIS applications.

After their time at Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Jody worked at OAO Technology Solutions as a Technical Lead and Delivery Manager, managing multiple development teams and coordinating projects with multiple departments and resources.

Following that, Jody worked at Bulletproof Solutions as a Senior Technical Architect and Security Consultant, where they were responsible for the development direction of projects and the company's internal development practices.

Next, Jody joined Atlantic Lottery Corporation as a Technical Lead, leading and coordinating development teams for corporate lottery systems.

Afterwards, Jody worked at Medavie Blue Cross as a Project Lead, responsible for the planning, delivery, and deployment of several projects contributing to a corporate re-implementation of core systems.

Jody then joined TSi Auto Solutions as a Senior Project Manager, managing and coordinating various teams in the delivery of product upgrades and implementations for automotive car manufacturers.

Currently, Jody is working at Major Drilling as the Director of Information Technology, where they are accountable for the company's operational requirements related to IT and ensuring the smooth running of the company's network infrastructure and associated systems.

Throughout their career, Jody has demonstrated strong leadership and coordination skills, as well as the ability to deliver successful projects and implement new technologies.

Jody Cairns has a background in computer science, having attended Memorial University of Newfoundland from 1991 to 1995. They also participated in corporate training in 2003, focusing on technical writing, and in 2004 for project management. Additionally, Jody Cairns has obtained certifications in SQL Server 2008 Business Intelligence Development and Maintenance from Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist in 2011 and in coaching, counseling, and feedback skills for mentors from the University of New Brunswick in 2000.
