Mike Swift is the CEO and Co-Founder of Major League Hacking, the world's first platform for Hackathons. Mike has been working in the tech industry for over 10 years and has experience as a developer, Evangelist, and Engineer.
Swift got their start in the industry as a Senior Programmer at IQResearch. Mike then moved on to Crowdtap, where they worked as an Engineer for less than a year before being recruited by Hacker League as a Co-Founder. Mike helped grow Hacker League into the world's largest platform for Hackathons before it was acquired by Intel in 2013.
After the acquisition, Swift stayed on with Intel as the Developer Evangelist for their new Hackathon division. In this role, they travelled around the world speaking at various events and conferences about the importance of Hackathons. Mike also helped organize and run several large-scale Hackathons, including the world's largest Hackathon, MHacks.
In 2015, Swift left Intel to start Major League Hacking with long-time friend and colleague Jonathan Gottfried. Major League Hacking is a platform that helps organizers run successful Hackathons and provides resources for participants to learn from and connect with each other. Under Swift's leadership, Major League Hacking has grown rapidly, partnering with some of the biggest companies in the world and hosting hackathons on every continent (except Antarctica).
Mike Swift has a type of open source educational career in software engineering from MLH Fellowship. Mike also has a Bachelor of Arts degree in computer science and political science from Rutgers University. Lastly, they attended Morristown High School.
