Vaishnavi Jeyacumar has a diverse range of work experience. Vaishnavi started their career as a Cashier at Walmart in 2019, where they assisted customers with the check-out process. In 2020, they worked as a Customer Value Associate at Walmart. Vaishnavi then gained experience as a Crew Member at Wendy's, where they prepared food and ensured quality service.
In 2021, Vaishnavi took on the role of a Graphic Designer at the National Research Council Canada. Vaishnavi worked on developing impactful materials and presentations for IRAP clients. Vaishnavi also worked as a Product Designer at Major League Hacking, participating in hackathons and sharpening their design and front-end development skills.
In 2022, they joined Reesor's Market & Bakery as a Baker, where they prepared and baked desserts while providing excellent customer service. Vaishnavi also worked as a Crew Member for the Pick Your Own Strawberries crew, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for visitors to the farm.
In 2023, Vaishnavi took on the role of Vice President of External Relations at the UW Management Consulting Club. Vaishnavi focused on making the University of Waterloo a recruiting ground for management consulting firms. Vaishnavi also worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Waterloo.
Throughout their various roles, Vaishnavi has demonstrated adaptability, teamwork, and a drive to learn and grow in their career.
Vaishnavi Jeyacumar's education history begins in 2015 when they attended Father Michael McGivney CA and completed the International Baccalaureate Program. Vaishnavi then went on to pursue their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biochemistry at the University of Waterloo from 2019 to 2021. After that, they continued their studies at the University of Waterloo and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Science and Business with a Biology minor. Vaishnavi is also participating in the Experiential Education Certificate Program (EDGE).
In addition to their academic qualifications, Vaishnavi has obtained several certifications. In 2014 and 2016, they completed Emergency First Aid courses with CPR-A and CPR-B respectively, through the Lifesaving Society Ontario. In 2018, they obtained the Standard First Aid certification with CPR-C from the same institution. In 2019, they completed the Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) 2015 certification at the University of Waterloo. Moreover, in 2020, they obtained certifications in McGill Personal Finance Essentials from McGill University's Desautels Faculty of Management and Responsive Web Design from freeCodeCamp.
