Major League Rugby
Nic Benson serves as the CEO, Board Member, and Deputy Commissioner of Major League Rugby since 2016. Previously, Benson held the position of Chief Operating Officer and Board Member for Utah Warriors Rugby from 2020 to 2023, and was the Chief Business Officer at Willow TV in 2020-2021. Benson's extensive experience in political consulting includes roles as Program Manager for Political Party Programs at the National Democratic Institute from 2011 to 2016 and Manager at Chemonics International from 2009 to 2011. Additional consulting work was completed for the IPL and various Democratic campaigns between 2004 and 2008. Benson began a career in politics as a Staff Assistant for the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee from 2003 to 2004. Educational qualifications include a BS in Political Science & International Affairs from Florida State University and an MBA from San Diego State University.

Major League Rugby is a professional sports league representing the highest rugby competition in North America. The League evolved from seven teams in 2018 to 12 teams in 2023, featuring 11 from the United States and one from Canada.
