Amy Vanderhoof

Practice Lead, Northeast at Major, Lindsey & Africa

Amy Vanderhoof is the Practice Lead – Northeast for MLA Interim Legal Talent. In this role, she serves as a coach, mentor, and leader to other recruiters throughout the region from Boston to Philadelphia. Amy oversees their development and ensures the recruiters are consistently growing in their roles and supporting their candidates to the best of their abilities. Amy also continues to work with her own candidates across the East Coast, helping to place them in consulting positions within both law firms and companies.

Amy joined Major, Lindsey & Africa in 2015 as a Director in the Interim Legal Talent group. She specialized in conducting the full life-cycle recruiting process on behalf of law firms and corporations looking to hire attorneys and other legal professionals into both permanent and interim positions. From 2019 until 2022, Amy worked as an Internal Recruiting and Training Manager, where she oversaw the internal recruiting process for all of the practice groups and openings on the East Coast and handled the internal hiring and training nationally for the Interim Legal Talent team.

White attending law school at George Washington University, Amy took part in the Immigration Clinic and taught first-year law students legal research and writing through the Dean’s Fellow program. She then worked as a law clerk, assisting individuals and families with immigration matters and documentation.
