Jim Abbett

Jim Abbett has extensive experience in quality engineering and inspection, having worked at Major Tool & Machine since August 2008 in various roles, including Six Sigma Black Belt, Senior Quality Engineer, and NQA-1 Lead Auditor. Abbett's responsibilities involve ensuring compliance with customer and regulatory standards in sectors such as space exploration, defense, and nuclear power. Previous roles at Major Tool & Machine include Lead Quality Inspector, where oversight of inspection teams and methodologies was crucial, and Nuclear Quality Inspector, focusing on advanced metrology techniques. Prior to this, Abbett worked at GKN Sinter Metals from March 1988 to August 2008 as a Tool Maker and Quality Inspector, gaining hands-on experience with precision tooling. Abbett holds a degree in Machine Tool Technology from Ivy Tech Community College and further pursued education at Purdue University between 2013 and 2015.
