Make A Play Foundation

Make A Play Foundation ("MAP") is a non-profit organization that prepares underrepresented athletes for executive careers in competitive industries. We have designed a "Fall Forward Plan" that leverages our 5C's of career development, coaching, community, competition, and curriculum to prepare our Fellows for impactful entry-level roles. Over the next year, we will be fundraising to support the development of our undergraduate ("Training Camp" and "D-League") and post-graduate career training programs ("MAPPA" and "Premier League"). MAP Training Camp A two-month pre-professionalism course for athletes entering their sophomore year at an accredited college or university. 100% of Training Camp Fellows graduated to the D-League in 2020. MAP Development League ("D-League") A twelve-month professional development fellowship for athletes entering their junior year at an accredited college or university. 100% of D-League Fellows secured internships and fellowships at Fortune 500 companies and Vault 100 law firms in 2020. MAP Players Association ("MAPPA") The official alumni network for D-League Fellows interested in pursuing careers in Finance, Front Office Management, or Law. 100% of MAPPA Trainees receive specialized training from industry experts in at least one discipline. MAP Premier League A three-month postbaccalaureate fellowship for ex-athletes that have graduated from an accredited college or university. 75% of our Premier League Fellows received full-time offers from Deloitte in 2021.
