MAP Premier League Fellow at Make A Play Foundation

Jayla Thornton is a skilled professional with extensive experience in sports management and communications. Currently serving as a MAP Premier League Fellow at the Make A Play Foundation since July 2020, Jayla has been actively involved in various roles including Front Office Management Trainee and D-League Fellow. In addition, Jayla works as a Personal Sports Administrative Assistant for Bryan Cook of the Kansas City Chiefs and is an Events and Club Business Development Extern with the NFL, where participation in the prestigious ‘Experienceship’ program has provided valuable insights into industry operations. Prior experience includes internship roles at S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, Black College Sports and Education Foundation, and Howard University, enhancing skills in media relations and production. Jayla holds a Master of Arts in Television, Radio, and Film/Sports Media Communications from S.I. Newhouse School, a Certificate in Management Leadership from The George Washington University, and a Bachelor's degree from Howard University.
