Ann Shields

Ann Shields currently serves as the Development Director of Harrisburg at Make-A-Wish America, having joined the organization in March 2022. Previously, Ann held the position of Development Director for the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association from May 2018 to March 2022, focusing on fundraising and community education related to cardiovascular health. Ann's experience in education includes teaching at various levels within the Cumberland Valley School District from 2009 to 2018. Ann also served as the Executive Director of Domestic Violence Services of Cumberland and Perry Counties, significantly increasing net income during tenure. Additionally, Ann has held roles in financial services, including positions as an accounting recruiter and as an audit control analyst. Ann holds a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and a Master's Degree in Public Administration from Penn State University, as well as a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Wilson College.
