Halie Purdy Sphr, Cnp

Halie Purdy, SPHR, CNP, LSSGB has a diverse and extensive work experience. Halie started their career in 2012 as a Writer-Editor for US Air Force Services, where they were responsible for creating marketing materials and maintaining the squadron's website. Halie later became a Marketing Director and directed marketing programs for multiple facilities.

In 2015, Halie joined OpenWorks | Facility Services as an Executive & Recruiting Coordinator, where they coordinated executive leadership initiatives and developed effective recruitment programs. Halie then became a National Talent Acquisition Manager, scaling the recruitment program and acting as a single point of contact for the executive team and hiring managers. Halie eventually became the National Human Resources Manager, overseeing HR functions across 21 regions and leading performance management, recruiting strategy, and HR communications.

Since 2018, Halie has been working at Make-A-Wish America. Halie started as a National Talent Acquisition Manager and restructured the internship program to align with industry standards and build a talent community. Halie then became a National Senior Manager, leading talent acquisition and employee experience strategies. Currently, they serve as the National Director, responsible for leading talent acquisition, engagement, recognition, and employer branding.

Throughout their career, Halie has demonstrated expertise in talent acquisition, HR strategy, employee experience, and leadership development. Halie has successfully implemented process improvements and built strong relationships with stakeholders.

Halie Purdy, SPHR, CNP, LSSGB, holds a Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature from the University of Maryland Global Campus. In addition to their academic background, they have obtained various certifications. These include the Senior Professional in Human Resources® (SPHR®) Certification from HRCI in May 2021, the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (ICGB) Certification from Make-A-Wish America in December 2020, and the Certified Nonprofit Professional (CNP) Certification from the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance in August 2020. Halie also earned a Workforce Trends and Leadership e-Certificate from the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance in June 2020.
