Ben Dykes

Ben Dykes has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Ben co-founded Make Real in 2006, where they currently serve as the Director. In this role, they are responsible for creating state-of-the-art immersive VR/AR experiences for marketing, training, education, and entertainment purposes. Ben has also delivered successful brand awareness marketing campaigns and developed applications for health and safety training.

Prior to Make Real, Ben Dykes worked at Makemedia as the Director of Client Services from September 2015 to July 2018. Ben specialized in providing digital transformation services to b2b publishing companies, delivering subscription-based complex data products, and creating innovative solutions for publishers and brands.

Additionally, Ben Dykes worked as the CTO of Makemedia, leading the technical delivery of projects and services. This position allowed him to work on a wide range of technologies and deliver innovative solutions to both the publishing and flight simulation industries.

Earlier in their career, Ben Dykes worked at Madgex Ltd as an ASP.NET Developer, where they developed code for their job board platform.

Prior to that, they worked at Evans and Sutherland as a Pre Sales Engineer and a Senior Database Design Engineer, starting in 1996 and ending in 2003.

Ben Dykes received a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Industrial Design from Teesside University. Ben attended the university from 1993 to 1996.
