Shawn MacKinnon

Shawn Mackinnon has extensive work experience in the retail and design industry. Shawn started their career at Diller Scofidio + Renfro as a Project Designer from 2005 to 2007. Shawn then joined Gucci as a Senior Architectural Designer, where they managed the design and construction of boutiques worldwide from 2007 to 2009. From 2011 to 2012, they worked as a Senior Store Designer at Studio Sofield. Shawn's most recent position was at MAC Cosmetics, where they held various roles including Director of Global Store Design from 2012 to 2013, Executive Director of Global Store Design from 2013 to 2022, and currently Vice President, Global Retail and Brand Experience. In their roles at MAC Cosmetics, Shawn was responsible for leading teams in developing store design concepts, managing architectural projects, and implementing breakthrough innovation products.

Shawn Mackinnon holds M.Arch and M.Eng degrees in Architecture from Princeton University and a B.Asc degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from The University of British Columbia.
