Shefali Roy

Shefali Roy is a Board Member at MakerDAO. Shefali has also served as a Strategic Advisor at Erase All Kittens, COO + CCO at TrueLayer, and Board Member at Ada's List.

Prior to their current positions, Ms. Roy was the MLRO & Chief Compliance Officer, Europe at Stripe from July 2014 to July 2016. In this role, they were responsible for Stripe's compliance program in Europe, including developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Before joining Stripe, Ms. Roy worked as a consultant on regulatory affairs and public policy for Barefoot College Tilonia. Shefali also has experience in the payments industry, having worked as a product manager at Tyro Payments.

Ms. Roy holds a degree in economics from Nye.

Shefali Roy has a background in economics and finance, having earned their EMBA from Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford, MSc in Economic Theirtory from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), and MA in Journalism from RMIT University. Shefali also has a visiting student background in behavioural and management economics from the University of Oxford.
