Suzy Ekman

Suzy Ekman is the Founder and CEO of Makers Market, an acclaimed eCommerce and brick-and-mortar retailer specializing in handcrafted products by independent American makers, recognized by San Francisco Magazine as "Best of the Best Retailer for Local Goods" in 2018. As National Art Curator for the American Craft Council, Suzy curates shows and emerging craftsmen booths, while also advising SFMade start-ups and mentoring student-founded ventures at California Polytechnic State University. With a diverse background in fine arts, management consulting, and significant roles at Powis Parker and Ernst & Young, Suzy has consistently delivered sustainable results in operational and financial performance. Educationally, Suzy holds a BS in Business/Accounting from California Polytechnic State University and has furthered knowledge at Stanford University.
