Karl Castillo is an accomplished software engineer with extensive experience in various development roles across multiple companies. Currently serving as a Senior Software Engineer II at MakerSights, Karl focuses on enhancing the codebase and processes, advocating for best practices and documentation. Previously, Karl held mentorship and engineering positions at Lighthouse Labs, Living Sky Technologies, The Coalition Studio, Machobear Studios Inc, Officepools.com, Morningstar Interactive, and Vancouver Community Network, where Karl contributed to the development of significant applications and features while providing guidance to junior developers. Karl holds a Bachelor of Technology in Network Security and Administration and a degree in Computer Systems Technology from the British Columbia Institute of Technology.
