Caitlin (Cruickshank) Sutherland has worked in the art industry for several companies since 2010. Caitlin'smost recent role is Senior Director, Business Development | Digital Art at MakersPlace, starting in November 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a Guest Lecturer, Commercialization of Digital Art at Sotheby's Institute of Art in 2021. From 2015 to 2021, Caitlin held various positions at Sotheby's, including Business Director and Assistant Vice President in the Global Fine Arts department. Before joining Sotheby's, they worked at Hindman Auctions as a Regional Manager and Regional Account Executive from 2012 to 2015. In 2010, Caitlin had brief stints at Sotheby's and Lyon & Turnbull, where they focused on 19th Century European Paintings and Fine Art and Antiques, respectively.
Caitlin (Cruickshank) Sutherland has an Art Historian Certificate in Florence, Italy from Gonzaga University. Caitlin also holds a Project Management Professional (PMP) Certificate from New York University in New York, New York. In addition, they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Art History from University of Oregon in Eugene, Oregon.
