Layla Nasr

Layla Nasr has had an extensive work experience in the field of technology and software development. Layla started their career as a Software Programmer & QA Analyst at Technomedia Talent Management in 1997 and eventually became the System Architect. In this role, they played a key role in guiding and motivating the migration of the company's products to the Cloud. From 2011 to 2013, Layla served as the Director of Software Development, where they built and coached the technical team and created the infrastructure for the migration of customers to a unified HCM solution.

In 2013, Layla joined Cegid as the Vice President R&D HCM Solution. In this position, they managed a team of 70+ members located in Montreal and offshore locations. Layla was responsible for shaping technical solutions and functional roadmaps, leading pre-sales demos, and managing major customer accounts. Layla held this position until June 2018.

Following their time at Cegid, Layla joined Sogema Technologies in 2018 as the Vice President of Architecture and Innovation. Layla held this role until November 2019.

Currently, Layla is associated with Makila AI. Layla initially served as the Chief Technology Officer from November 2019 to January 2021 before being promoted to the position of Chief Executive Officer in January 2021.

Layla Nasr obtained their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from UQAM | Université du Québec à Montréal in 1998.
