Jeung Hyun Byun has a diverse work experience in the field of machine learning and research. In 2017, they worked as an Undergraduate Researcher at Imperial College London, where they researched "Aberration theory of Plasmonic Lens" and gained proficiency in using MATLAB.

In 2019, Byun worked as a Data Science Intern at Streetbees, where they conducted research on Neighborhood Context Aware Knowledge Graph Completion as part of an industrial research project. They also worked as a Research Student at UCL NLP Group during the same year.

Byun joined Deep Bio, Inc in 2020 as a Machine Learning Engineer, where they worked on various projects related to breast cancer detection and classification, neural architecture search based on reinforcement learning, animal lymphoma cancer classification, and deep learning models in drug design.

In 2020, Byun also took on the role of Administrator and Group Lead at Just Kaggle, a non-profit community focusing on machine learning and deep learning. They organized meetups, study groups, hackathons, and other events, as well as led study/review sessions on recent ML/DL trends, papers, and concepts.

From 2021 to 2023, Byun worked as a Research Scientist at Deargen, contributing to research activities in the field.

Most recently, Byun joined MakinaRocks in 2023 as a Machine Learning Engineer.

Jeung Hyun Byun completed their education in a chronological manner. Firstly, from 2013 to 2015, they attended Dulwich College Suzhou, where they pursued their International Baccalaureate degree. Then, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Theoretical Physics from Imperial College London from 2015 to 2018. Finally, from 2018 to 2019, they studied at UCL and obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree, specializing in Machine Learning.
