José Antonio Martínez Aguilar

José Antonio Martínez Aguilar has an extensive work experience spanning across various companies in the technology and business sectors.

José Antonio is the Founder, Chairman, and Global CEO of Making Science since April 2016. Prior to that, they held several roles at Google, including Managing Director in various countries and industries, such as Portugal, Spain, and Canada. José Antonio was also the Director of Telecom and Media during their tenure at Google from June 2006 to September 2010.

Before joining Google, José Antonio Martínez Aguilar was the Co-Founder and VP of Sales and Marketing at mCentric from October 2000 to June 2006. José Antonio also worked at Vodafone, where they served as the VP of the Internet Business Unit in 2000 and held various director-level positions in product development and program management from 1995 to 2000.

Additionally, they worked as a Professor of Digital Strategy and Technology at IE Business School from February 2012 to June 2019.

Currently, José Antonio Martínez Aguilar is the CEO of Ventis, starting from May 2021.

José Antonio Martínez Aguilar's education history includes obtaining an MBA degree from IE Business School between 1994 and 1996. Prior to that, they studied Economics at Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia - U.N.E.D. from 1991 to 1994. José Antonio also pursued a degree in Computer Science and Telecommunications at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, completing an Ingeniero Superior de Telecomunicaciones degree from 1988 to 1993. In addition to these, José Antonio Martínez Aguilar also pursued further education at IE Business School, where they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree. José Antonio further continued their studies at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, specializing in Computer Science and Computer Software Engineering, earning Master of Science (MS) degrees in both fields.
