Heather Mazzonna

Heather Mazzonna has been working in the design and technology industries since 2017. Her most recent role is as Principal Product Designer and Head of Design at Mako Financial Technologies, a position they have held since 2021. Prior to this, they were a Designer & Research Assistant at the Sheridan Centre for Elder Research in 2020. Heather also held the role of Innovation Design Team Facilitator at Sheridan College in 2020. In 2019, they were a UX/UI Designer at Mission Critical Networks and an Interactive Media Production Assistant at Sheridan Production House. Heather was also an IXD Tutor and Teaching Assistant at Sheridan College in 2019. In 2018, they were an Assistant Content Editor at the Town of Oakville, where they worked with their supervisor to rewrite all content on oakvillecentre.ca and make design decisions regarding the layout while the website was being remodelled. In 2017, they held the role of Senior Box Office Clerk at the Oakville Centre for the Performing Arts.

Heather Mazzonna has a Bachelor's degree in Interaction Design from Sheridan College, which they obtained in 2021. Heather also has a Certificate in Media Fundamentals from Sheridan College, which they obtained in 2017. Additionally, they have a certification in TCPS 2: CORE (Ethical Conduct for Research Involving Humans) from the Government of Canada.
