Vitor Castro

Vitor Castro has extensive work experience in software development and management roles. Vitor is currently the Head of Engineering at Mako Financial Technologies, a position they have held since May 2023. Prior to that, Vitor worked at Indellient Inc. as a Software Development Manager from January 2020 to May 2023. Vitor also held the same role at iPipeline from March 2019 to January 2020. Before that, Vitor worked at Bluesun Inc. as a Software Development Manager from September 2017 to March 2019, and as a Software Architect from June 2015 to August 2017. Vitor started their career as an Application Developer II at Ericsson from January 2014 to June 2015. Vitor has also worked as a Senior Programmer Analyst at Citi from October 2012 to December 2013, and as a Senior Software Engineer at EMC from January 2008 to October 2012. Vitor began their career at Research In Motion as a Software Tools Assistant from September 2006 to December 2006, and as a Software Engineer at EMC from January 2006 to April 2006. Vitor also served as an IT Support Technician at the University of Guelph in 2006.

Vitor Castro attended the University of Guelph from 2003 to 2007, where they obtained a Bachelor of Computing degree in Computer Science. In addition to their formal education, Vitor has also earned two additional certifications. In August 2019, they became a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) through Scrum Alliance. Furthermore, in March 2023, Vitor obtained the Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate certification from Microsoft.
