Sean O Neachtain

Sean O'Neachtain has worked at Mako Trading since 2010. Sean started as an Operations Software Developer, supporting and developing middleware/backoffice reconciliation and reporting platform. Sean'srole involved product exposure to various funds and financial instruments. From September 2016 to June 2018, they served as the Head of Product Control. In June 2019, they became the Head of Operations, and in February 2020, they were promoted to the position of Group Chief Operating Officer. Currently, they hold the role of Managing Director of Technology, starting from January 2022.

Sean O Neachtain attended the University of Galway from 2001 to 2004, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Mathematics and Legal Studies. Sean then pursued further education at the same university from 2005 to 2009, earning a Bachelor's degree in Financial Mathematics and Economics. In addition to their formal education, Sean O Neachtain has also obtained the certification of MiFID Transaction Reporting Foundation from the London Stock Exchange Group (UnaVista).
