Amare Fentaye is a seasoned researcher at Mälardalen University since October 2019, focusing on the development of Physics-based and AI-driven diagnostics methods for power and propulsion gas turbine engines aimed at predictive maintenance. Prior experience includes a role as Graduate Assistant at Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS from September 2014 to November 2018 and positions as a Graduate Research Assistant, both involving the implementation of machine learning techniques for condition monitoring and fault diagnostics in industrial gas turbines to enhance energy efficiency. Amare also has academic experience as a lecturer at Addis Ababa University and Arba Minch University, where responsibilities included lecturing, research, and supervising undergraduate students. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS and advanced degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Addis Ababa University and Arba Minch University.
