Helen Young Hayes

Helen Young Hayes is the Founder/CEO of Activate Workforce Solutions in Denver, Colorado, a human-centered recruitment and placement firm for low-to-middle skill employees, partnering with social enterprises like Women's Bean Project, Mile High Workshop, and Upstream Impact to create paths to economic self-sufficiency. She has been involved in philanthropic support for orphanages in Kenya, Africa, and in working to end human trafficking in Southeast Asia. Ms. Hayes was Managing Director of Investments, Portfolio Manager, and a Director of Janus Capital Group. She was also a Portfolio Manager at Janus Capital Management LLC and headed up the portfolio management and research team and also managed the international and global portfolios. Prior to becoming a Portfolio Manager in 1989, Ms. Hayes was a Research Analyst covering both domestic and international equity securities. Previously, she worked as a Research Associate at New-York-based Fred Alger Management, following media, entertainment, and consumer companies. Ms. Hayes has earned the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. She holds a B.A. in Economics from Yale University.
