Group Chief Strategy Officer at Malaysia Airlines

Bryan Foong was appointed Group Chief Strategy Officer (GCSO) of Malaysia Airlines Berhad overseeing corporate strategy, network and fleet planning for the Malaysia Aviation Group.

A senior corporate leader experienced in strategy and corporate planning, Bryan is no stranger to the field having undertaken similar roles in several companies before, most recently under Themed Attractions Resorts & Hotels. While there, Bryan was responsible for corporate and strategic planning, project conceptualisation and investment feasibility studies, asset performance management, and strategic partnerships. He also served a prior stint in Malaysia Airlines between 2007 to 2012, where he last held the position as Head of Strategy.

Bryan holds a Master’s in Business Administration from Cranfield University School of Management, UK and Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Queen’s University Belfast, UK. He started his career in Proton before moving to Mitsubishi Motors Japan, Ernst & Young, and Sunway Group.
