Kamarudin Kamilin

CEO, MAB Academy at Malaysia Airlines

Kamarudin was appointed CEO of MAB Academy, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG), in October 2017.

Kamarudin is responsible for leading the development and implementation of all learning and development programmes, positioning the Academy as a leading place of learning for the regional aviation industry.

Kamarudin brings a wealth of experience and wisdom to his role with his extensive flying, instructing, and strategic management expertise. He started his career with Malaysia Airlines 40 years ago as a pilot and has held various leadership positions such as Chief Pilot-Training, Senior Vice President Flight Operations - Quality, Technical and Training, Head of Flight Operations and Head of Training, School of Flight Operations, Malaysia Airlines Academy.

As a key figure in MAB Academy since 2016, Kamarudin has played a significant role in bringing both a positive and proactive approach to managing training and development. The MAB Academy, under the leadership of Kamarudin, will continue to focus on improving and enhancing employee development and growth as the Group moves towards becoming a more robust and sustainable organisation.
