Kariann Murphy is an experienced educational leader currently serving as Principal of Malden Public Schools since June 2019 and as a Professional Development Provider for the Salem State Collaborative since August 2017, focusing on student engagement in grades 1-8. Previously, Kariann held various positions including Assistant Principal at Winthrop Public Schools, Science Coach and Science Lead & 7th Grade Science Teacher at Chelsea Public Schools, and Science Teacher at Saint Raphael School. Kariann holds a Doctor of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Nova Southeastern University and several degrees from Salem State University, along with trauma practitioner training.
