Nashwa Fathimath

Nashwa Fathimath has a comprehensive work experience in the Maldives Police Service. Starting in 1995, they served as the Personal Assistant to the Commissioner of Police for almost a decade. Nashwa then took on various roles within the organization, including being a Public Relations Officer from 2005 to 2012. From 2012 to 2015, they held the position of Head of Crime Prevention Unit, where they conducted awareness campaigns and built partnerships to create safer communities. Nashwa went on to become the Deputy Head of the Public Affairs Department from 2015 to 2016. Nashwa then served as the Deputy Head of the Strategic and Legal Department from 2016 to 2020, and later became the Head of Road Safety Unit from 2018 to 2020. Nashwa'smost recent role is as the Head of Upper North Police Division, starting in August 2020.

Nashwa Fathimath completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Business Administration and Management from Federation University Australia between 2010 and 2012. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Media and Communication with a focus on Public Relations from the University of Southern Queensland from 2004 to 2006.
