Mel Partee is an experienced electrical designer and engineer with a career spanning several decades in the transportation and engineering sectors. Currently serving as a Senior Electrical Designer at Maldonado-Burkett Intelligent Transportation Systems, LLP since September 2012, Mel previously held the position of ITS Branch Manager at the Texas Department of Transportation from September 1990 to October 2008. Prior roles include Process Control Engineer at the Texas Highway Department, Associate Electrical Engineer at Texaco Drilling Research, and Electronics Communications Officer in the United States Air Force. Mel began the engineering career as a Computer Programmer at the Texas Highway Department and earned a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin in 1969.
