Shivantha Perera

Shivantha Perera has a diverse work experience in the IT industry. Shivantha is currently serving as the Group Head of IT at Maliban Group, a prominent biscuit manufacturer in Sri Lanka. In this role, they oversee the information technology operations for the company's various sectors.

Prior to their current position, Shivantha worked at Sunshine Holdings PLC, where they held several managerial roles. As the Manager - Group IT Operations and Automation, they played a crucial role in implementing cybersecurity measures and ensuring the protection of the company's information assets. Shivantha also led projects such as the migration of business applications to Oracle IaaS Cloud and the implementation of an ERP system on Cloud for Watawala Tea.

Before joining Sunshine Holdings PLC, Shivantha worked at Innovative Data Solutions Private Limited as a Technical Sales Engineer. Shivantha was responsible for bridging the gap between clients and internal engineers, providing technical expertise, and supporting various projects for renowned hotel groups such as Hilton, Taj, and Intercon.

Shivantha's career started at the Information and Communication Technology Agency of Sri Lanka, where they served as an Intern Business Analyst. During this time, they gained valuable experience in administration work and was involved in projects such as the Sri Lanka Army Benevolent Fund.

Shivantha Perera obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business/Commerce, General from the Postgraduate Institute of Management (PIM) from 2018 to 2020. Prior to that, Shivantha Perera completed a Bachelor of Computer Science (BCSc) degree in Computer Science from the University of Colombo School of Computing from 2004 to 2008.
