Kimberlee Shimizu (PoPo)

Kimberlee "PoPo" Shimizu is an experienced Electrical Design Engineer at Malin Space Science Systems Inc since May 2022, specializing in the design and analysis of electronic circuits for satellite and space systems. Prior to this role, Shimizu served as an Electrical Engineer - Aerospace at Space Micro Inc. from September 2013 to May 2022, where responsibilities included hardware design, project engineering, and interfacing with multiple engineering disciplines. Shimizu’s earlier experience includes positions as a laboratory assistant at the University of San Diego, various roles at Habitat for Humanity, and internships in electrical engineering and law, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the same university. Shimizu has a strong foundation in component engineering, radiation analysis, and testing, with expertise in multiple aspects of electronic design and verification.
