Calvin Deutschbein

Calvin Deutschbein is an accomplished academic and industry professional in the field of computer science. Currently serving as an Assistant Professor at Willamette University since August 2021, Calvin previously contributed as a Research Scholar at the SRC Research Scholars Program, focusing on security vulnerabilities in CPU designs. With extensive experience as a Graduate Worker at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, including roles as an instructor and teaching assistant, Calvin earned a Ph.D. and a Master's degree in Computer Science from the same institution. Additional teaching experience includes serving as an Adjunct Faculty at Elon University and instructional roles at The University of Chicago. Calvin's industry background includes engineering positions at Lockheed Martin and Seagate Technology, as well as significant research contributions in processor architecture and embedded systems. Calvin holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Mathematics from the University of Chicago.
