Søren Straagaard

Søren Straagaard has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Søren started their career as a Lifeguard at Faaborg Svømmehal in 2000 and later became a Fitness Instructor at fitness dk between 2005 and 2008. Søren then transitioned into sales by working as a Sales Consultant at Berlingske Bladsalg og Service from 2004 to 2007. In 2008, Søren joined Aktieselskabet Sydfyenske Holding as a Student Assistant and later became a Business Analyst. Søren played a crucial role in analyzing private equity investments, listed bonds, and shares during the financial crisis. Søren went on to work as a Group Controller at KOMPAN A/S from 2010 to 2014 before joining Union Engineering a/s as a Business Controlling Manager for a brief period. Søren then returned to KOMPAN A/S as a Group Finance Director, responsible for effective governance and providing business decision support. Søren continued their finance career as the Finance Director at KOMPAN, Inc. from 2014 to 2016, where they led and developed internal teams in finance, business planning, and budgeting. Most recently, Søren held the position of CFO at Trioworld Industrial Film from 2020 to August 2023 before transitioning to their current role as CFO at Malpack.

Søren Straagaard holds a M.Sc. in Economics, Business Administration and Control from Syddansk Universitet - University of Southern Denmark, which was completed between 2007 and 2009. Prior to that, they earned a B.Sc. in Economics and Business Administration from the same university, spanning from 2004 to 2007. Straagaard completed their secondary education at Faaborg Gymnasium from 2000 to 2003.
