Roland Hansen

Head of Regional Group, Africa at Malteser International

Roland Hansen is the current Head of Regional Group, Africa at Malteser International. Roland has been with the company since January 2002 and in their current position since December 2013. Prior to that, they were the Head of Asia & Haiti from May 1996 to December 2001.

Roland has a long history of working in international development. Roland started their career at KLJB as a Desk Officer International Development in May 1996. In this role, they initiated the Eco-Fair Wear ("öko-fair tragen") Project with cotton producers and textile companies in East Africa and a public awareness campaign in Germany.

Roland Hansen earned a Master of Arts in Ethnology, Geography, Development Sociology from Universität zu Köln, Bonn, Ankara.
