Laavanya Pari GAICD has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Starting in 2005, they worked as a Senior Auditor at Grant Thornton Australia, where they handled audit teams and gained experience in business services and auditing. From 2007 to 2008, Laavanya worked as a Financial Accountant at Contracts - Carillion Planned Maintenance/Logica UK, providing project management and business improvement skills. In 2009, they joined I-MED Network as a Commercial Accountant, responsible for financial and management reporting and business partnering. From 2012 to 2015, Laavanya served as a Finance Manager at Svitzer, overseeing finance processes and managing audits. Laavanya then progressed to become the Head of Accounting and Controlling (2IC to CFO) from 2016 to 2017, and subsequently the Chief Financial Officer from 2018 to 2021. In their most recent role, Laavanya is the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer at GetUp since 2021. And in 2023, they will assume the role of Head of Finance at Mamamia.
Laavanya Pari GAICD obtained a Graduate degree from the Australian Institute of Company Directors in 2020. In 2007, they became a Chartered Accountant after completing their CA degree from Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand. Laavanya also holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting and Commercial Law, which they earned from the University of Sydney from 2000 to 2004. Laavanya is a member of the Financial Executives Institute of Australia (FEI) since March 2020.
