Wessel Helmens

Wessel Helmens is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience, currently serving as Director Solutions & Innovations and Director Engineering at Mammoet since 1996. In these roles, Wessel is responsible for overseeing all engineering functions within the company globally, managing a team of 100 direct engineers and 190 indirect engineers from the Schiedam headquarters in the Netherlands. Prior to Mammoet, Wessel held positions as a Senior Design Engineer and Project Manager at Iv-Groep, where responsibilities included designing various steel structures, and as a Senior Engineer/Design Engineer at Heerema Fabrication Group, focusing on load-outs and erection methods. Wessel holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from a High Technical Institute and has completed training in management and commercial management, as well as Delphi congruent training between 1989 and 1991.
