Bjarne Foldager

Bjarne Foldager has over 30 years of experience in the shipping and marine industry. Bjarne most recently served as the Senior Vice President and Head of Two Stroke Business at MAN Energy Solutions since January 2019. In this role, they were responsible for the global sales and promotion of two-stroke engines for marine and stationary use. Before that, they held various leadership positions at Maersk Tankers, including Global Head of Operations from 2014 to 2016, where they oversaw all commercial operational matters for the company. Prior to that, they worked as the Managing Director at Maersk Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. from 2011 to 2014, overseeing the operations in Malaysia, Singapore, and Brunei. Bjarne Foldager also had a long tenure at Maersk Ship Management, where they held the position of Managing Director A.P Moller Singapore Pte Ltd and Head of Maersk Crew Management from 2008 to 2011, and Vice President of Fleet Management from 2005 to 2008. Bjarne began their career at A.P. Moller -Maersk A/S as a Shipping Trainee.

Bjarne Foldager completed an Executive MBA from IMD in 2009 and a Programme for Executive Development from IMD in 2008. In 1994, they studied International Trade Law & Regulation at New York University. Earlier, from 1991 to 1993, they attended A.P Moller Shipping School and obtained a degree in Shipping. In addition, Bjarne Foldager earned a degree in Psychology from VUC, Holstebro in 1991. It is also worth mentioning that they studied for an Executive MBA at IMD, although the specific dates are not provided.
