Matthias Mahr

Matthias Mahr has a diverse and extensive work experience. Matthias began their career as a Tax Manager at Deloitte in 1993, where they focused on tax preparation and advisory services. In 1994, they joined EY as an Audit Manager, gaining experience in auditing financial statements.

In 1996, Mahr transitioned into the airline industry, working as a Senior Manager of Corporate Finance at Condor Flugdienst GmbH. Matthias was responsible for implementing financial planning and controlling initiatives. Matthias also managed structured financing projects.

Mahr continued their career in the aviation sector, joining Lufthansa Cargo in 1999 as the Director of Finance and Balancing. In this role, they oversaw financial reporting, treasury, and mergers and acquisitions. Matthias also held responsibilities for risk management and cash value added control.

In 2009, Mahr joined Lufthansa Systems as the Vice President of Finance and Accounting. Matthias handled financial and accounting activities for the company until 2011, when they were promoted to the role of Senior Director of Financial Management, Planning, and Corporate Controlling at Lufthansa.

Following their successful stint at Lufthansa, Mahr moved to the Friedhelm Loh Group in 2017 as the Vice President of Group Finance/Accounting.

In 2020, Mahr switched to MAN Truck & Bus SE, serving as the Vice President of Accounting. Matthias was later promoted to the position of Senior Vice President in 2021, overseeing accounting and finance processes.

In 2021, Mahr took on additional roles as Geschäftsführer (Managing Director) at MAN Shared Services Center and MAN Marken GmbH, where they continue to contribute their expertise.

Throughout their career, Mahr has demonstrated their proficiency in accounting, finance, and leadership roles across various industries.

Matthias Mahr obtained a degree in Bürokaufmann from VDO Adolf Schindling AG in 1988. Continuing their education, they pursued Wirtschaftswissenschaften at Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences, completing a Diplom Betriebswirt degree in 1993.
