Staff Engineer Team Lead at Man Group

Nicholas Camus has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Nicholas began their career in 2005 as a Ph.D. Researcher at the University of Leeds, focusing on relativistic magnetohydrodynamical models. After that, they worked as a Computational Fluid Dynamics Analyst at AMEC, where they performed three-dimensional modeling and simulation for a nuclear waste storage facility. In 2010, Nicholas joined IQVIA as a Software Engineer and later became a Lead Software Architect, overseeing the development of a high-performance costing platform. Nicholas then joined Man Group in 2019, holding multiple roles as a Senior Software Engineer, Technical Lead, and Team Lead. From 2018 to 2022, they were the Director of Surbiton Racket & Fitness Club. In 2022, they became the Chief Technology Officer and later the Director of Technology at VRPM. In 2023, Nicholas joined Man Group again as a Staff Engineer Team Lead.

Nicholas Camus obtained their MPhys degree in Theoretical Physics from the University of Leeds from 2000 to 2005. Nicholas then pursued a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics with a focus on Theoretical Astrophysics/Applied Mathematics from the same university, completing it from 2005 to 2009.
