Rachael Herriott began their work experience as an Intern at UBS in 2006. Rachael then moved on to MSCI Inc. in 2007, where they served as a Senior Associate in Applied Research and later as a Senior Associate in Equity Model Research. Their responsibilities included client-facing research, stress testing, and risk methodology. In 2014, Rachael joined Man GLG as a Risk Researcher, followed by a role at Man AHL as a Quantitative Analyst from 2016 to 2019. Rachael then worked as a Senior Quantitative Analyst at Balyasny Asset Management L.P. until 2022 before becoming the Head of Investment Risk at Man Group.
Rachael Herriott obtained a 1st Class MMath (Hons) degree in Mathematics from the University of Leeds in 2002. Rachael then went on to complete a PhD in Spectral Densities and Invariant subspaces of operators, specializing in Functional Analysis and Pure Mathematics at the University of Leeds between 2002 and 2006.
