Valerie Tan has a wealth of experience in the business world. Valerie began their career in 2013 as an Associate at McKinsey & Company, where they served clients across a wide variety of sectors and was awarded a Fellowship with the McKinsey Center for Government in 2015. In 2016, they joined Maha Agriculture Microfinance as Chief Operating Officer, where they were instrumental in developing multiple business functions, including IT, business development, finance and treasury, risk, and operations. Valerie also secured grant funding from the UN Capital Development Fund (UNCDF) and developed a credit risk algorithm to automate credit committee decisions. In 2019, Valerie became a Content Strategy Manager at Manabie and an Independent Consultant.
