Jim Hissong

Jim Jim'ssong is the current Chairman at Managed Auction Services of TX - MAST. Jim has over 28 years of experience in the insurance industry.

Jim started their career in 1990 at Progressive Insurance as the Texas Salvage Manager. In this role, they were responsible for the start-up of the Texas Central Salvage Unit (CSU). This included defining roles and objectives, training and oversight of all unit employees, and developing innovative procedures for handling salvage disposal from vehicle pick up to auction. The CSU ultimately consisted of ten title processors, an administrative team leader, two field specialists, and the unit manager.

In 2008, Jim left Progressive Insurance to work at Nationwide Insurance as the Vehicle Evaluation Center Manager. Jim's responsibilities included oversight of salvage disposal process for Nationwide and its affiliated companies operating in Texas; co-management of Texas total loss unit, prior to corporate consolidation of salvage and total loss operations in Des Moines, IA in July of '09.

Jim has been with MAST since 2009. Jim has been instrumental in MAST’s growth and success. Under their leadership, MAST has become one of the largest independent salvage providers in Texas servicing over 150 customers including many of the largest insurance carriers in the US.

Jim Jim'ssong has a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from the University of Houston.
