Gabriela Savoy, MPH

Gabriela Savoy, MPH has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Their current role is as a Data Analyst at Managed Care Advisors (MCA), where they began in November 2021. Prior to this, they worked at the Institute for Public Health Innovation, starting as a Community Health Worker in July 2020 and progressing to the role of Community Health Worker Supervisor in December 2020. Gabriela also served as the High Risk Communities Task Force Vaccination Navigation Supervisor from June 2021 to November 2021 at the same organization.

Gabriela also gained experience in the veterinary field as a Veterinary Assistant at Falls Church Animal Hospital Virginia from November 2018 to June 2020. Gabriela interned at Real Food For Kids from December 2019 to May 2020, and volunteered as a Student Volunteer at Virginia Tech from October 2015 to August 2018. Additionally, they worked as a Bather at PetSmart from August 2017 to July 2018.

Gabriela Savoy, MPH has a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree from George Mason University, which was obtained from 2018 to 2020. Prior to that, they received a Bachelor's degree in Animal Sciences from Virginia Tech, completing their studies from 2015 to 2018. Before attending Virginia Tech, Gabriela also pursued Animal Sciences at the University of California, Davis, between 2013 and 2014.

In addition to their academic achievements, Gabriela has obtained various certifications. Gabriela earned the Mental Health First Aid certification from Mental Health First Aid USA in June 2021. In July 2020, they acquired certifications in COVID-19 Contact Tracing from John Hopkins University, Introduction to Incident Command System from FEMA, Making Contact: A Training for COVID-19 Contract Tracers from the Association of State and Territorial Health Officials, and National Incident Management System, also from FEMA.
