Steve Van Riper

Steve Van Riper has a diverse work experience in the real estate industry. Steve is currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer at MRD Apartments, a multifamily real estate development and property management company. Prior to that, they held the position of Managing Director at Greystone, where they worked in the Investment Sales & Financing Advisory Team.

Steve also has experience at Village Green, where they served as the Vice President and was responsible for addressing the financial insolvency of the company and leading its turnaround and restructuring process. Steve has also worked as the Chief Financial Officer at Kaftan Enterprises, overseeing the strategic leadership of the organization and financing multi-family properties.

Earlier in their career, Steve served as an Asset Manager at Milestone Realty Services, where they managed a significant portfolio of real estate investments. Steve also worked as a Controller at Silverman Development Company and as an Assistant Controller at Village Green.

Prior to their roles in the real estate industry, Steve worked as a CPA and Senior Associate at BDO USA, LLP, a CPA and Tax Associate at Cendrowski Corporate Advisors, and as a Tax Accountant at Nelson Lambson & Company PLC.

Steve Van Riper attended Detroit Catholic Central High School from an unknown start year to 1989. After completing high school, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting at Michigan State University, starting in 1989 and graduating in 1995. Subsequently, they obtained a Certified Public Accountant certification from the State of Michigan in 1998 and a Real Estate Salesperson certification from the same institution in 2005.
