Ileana Ponce-Gonzalez is an accomplished public health professional with extensive experience in clinical consulting, program development, and health equity advocacy for migrant and refugee communities. As the Founder and Executive Director of the Community Health Worker Coalition for Migrants and Refugees since 2016, Ileana has focused on addressing health disparities and social injustice through community-driven assessments. Serving as a Clinical Consultant for the Management Solutions Consulting Group since 2014, Ileana evaluates health center performance and assists with compliance improvements. Previous roles include a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Washington, Senior Advisory Consultant at the Group Health Research Institute, and various positions within the US Department of Health and Human Services and the National Institutes of Health, where Ileana managed scientific reviews and health research initiatives. Ileana holds a Medical Doctor degree from Universidad National Autonoma de Nicaragua, a Clinical Genetics Specialist degree from the University of Chile, and a Master of Public Health from The Johns Hopkins University.
