René Berenschot

René Berenschot is currently working as Institutional Asset Management at ASR. Prior to this, they have worked as Head of Institutional Clients at Van Lanschot Bankiers from September 2005 to April 2007. René was responsible for sales and account management which mainly concerned endowment funds, pension funds and insurance companies. From September 2001 to April 2003, they worked as Senior Asset Manager at Kempen Capital Management where they were responsible for asset management for HNWIs and charity’s. Berenschot has also worked as Financial Advisor at FTB Nederland B.V. from December 2012 to June 2017. FTB Nederland provides business parks with fibre-optic networks. From April 2007 to May 2016, they were the Head of Sales and Business Development at BNG Vermogensbeheer (BNG Asset Management). René was responsible for the asset management of BNG Bank. Berenschot has also worked as Partner at Private Finance from July 2004 to September 2005 and as Director at Van der Hoop Capital Management from September 1993 to August 2001.

René Berenschot began their educational career by obtaining an LLM in Financial Law from Erasmus University Rotterdam. René then went on to obtain an MSc in Business Administration from the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University. Berenschot is also a RBA holder from CFA Society VBA Netherlands. Finally, they studied Business Economics at Hogeschool Drenthe.

René Berenschot reports to Jack Julicher, Asset & Investment. They are on a team with Steven Gokoel - CFEO & Risk, Asset, Marco Lavooi - COO, Asset, and Mark van Engelen - Fund & External Management.
